What is NaProTECHNOLOGY®?
NaProTECHNOLOGY®, which stands for Natural Procreative Technology, is a newly emerging science that takes a contemporary approach to women’s gynecological and procreative health. NaProTECHNOLOGY® is designed to monitor and maintain a woman’s reproductive system, help identify certain underlying problems, and aid in planning appropriate treatment. Read below to find out more about NaProTECHNOLOGY®.
What is the difference between NaProTECHNOLOGY® and the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System?
The Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System helps women monitor their naturally occurring phases of fertility and infertility. NaProTECHNOLOGY® is a medical science focused on women’s gynecological and procreative health that relies on insights revealed through the systematic observations inherent in the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System. In this way, the two form an integrated network of fertility monitoring and gynecological healthcare that centers on couples’ procreative decisions and women’s individual medical needs.
Creighton teaches women how to observe and chart their fertility cycles in a precise and standardized way. The chart then provides medically significant information that can be interpreted by physicians who are specifically trained in NaProTECHNOLOGY®. After analyzing the chart the NaProTECHNOLOGY®-trained doctor will be able to suggest appropriately timed diagnostic tests and provide women with valuable healthcare information and treatment options. The Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System is the only family planning method that can be used in conjunction with NaProTECHNOLOGY® to help diagnose and treat reproductive health problems. The Creighton chart provides unique insight into a woman’s cycle and helps to reveal significant aspects of her overall gynecological health.
Who provides NaProTECHNOLOGY® services?
NaProTECHNOLOGY® services are provided by physicians who have gone through specific training in the women’s health science of NaProTECHNOLOGY®. Those doctors are called FertilityCare™ Medical Consultants (FCMC). FertilityCare™ Medical Consultants collaborate closely with FertilityCare™ Practitioners to ensure the best approach for women’s needs.
What conditions can NaProTECHNOLOGY® treat?
NaProTECHNOLOGY® seeks to provide solutions to various gynecological and procreative disorders including:
How does NaProTECHNOLOGY® work?
NaProTECHNOLOGY® provides medical and surgical treatments for gynecological and reproductive disorders that many women face. NaProTECHNOLOGY® refuses to take any suppressive or destructive approaches. Instead, it works cooperatively with women’s reproductive and gynecological systems, maintaining the human ecology and sustaining procreative potential. NaProTECHNOLOGY® avoids merely masking symptoms and taking a “quick-fix” approach but seeks to identify an underlying issue and target the source of the disease.
How will I know if I need NaProTECHNOLOGY®?
If necessary, Anchor FertilityCare™ Center can refer you to a FertilityCare™ Medical Consultant, a physician specially trained in NaProTECHNOLOGY®. Anchor FertilityCare™ Center collaborates with Mary Ann Sorra, M.D. OB/GYN and Kristi King, M.D. OB/GYN. In most cases, you will need at least two months of charting with the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System before you can schedule your NaProTECHNOLOGY® consultation. A Medical Consultant will only be able to prescribe tests and make an accurate diagnosis after seeing your Creighton chart. If you are not sure whether you need a NaProTECHNOLOGY® treatment Anchor FertilityCare™ Center will work with you to determine whether a consultation with a FertilityCare™ Medical Consultant would be right for you.
